Tough Day for SU LAX as both the men and women go down to UVA. Hopefully the basketball team rebounds and carries weight Sunday. Funny how it was the other way around last year?

Manny to the METS (probably), but honestly - Is anyone else really going to give MANNY in his MID 30s a long term deal?

The answer to the question that is way too long in the title - is yes. It may not seem like right with the Wilpons and Omar Minaya seeming a bit uninterested, but it doesn't mean (what with Manny's rejection of a one year, $25 million offer), that he wants to be in New York. The Dodgers were a better team with Manny, and it's something they need to pursue. But for all intensive purposes, I called this.

Not really.

But the Yanks had a big offseason (and don't get me wrong so did the Mets, fixing their bullpen woes (wo)) and the Mets want to be the best team in New York (note* I did not say league, though being the best in New York in '09 is probably the best team in baseball).
