Just a thought, but I'm really disappointed with this year's madness.
a) lack of upsets
b) too many blowouts
There have been so many sleeper games. And granted Nova's win over Pitt last night was great, and (well okay I didn't watch the UConn game blame school work) UConn advanced in a tight one, but there's too many Louisville and UNC beating up on teams by 30 and 40 points in the SWEET 16. Is that just bad coaching or something? And speaking of coaching, the interim guy in Arizona really should just get the job. With the year that team had, he really deserves to take the credit even if they skidaddled into the NCAA Tournament, and were probably the last team in. They were this year's 'Villanova of last year', advancing to the Sweet 16 only to be blown away.
I'll think about watching today. I got a pretty big exam Tuesday, and that just may take precedent.
Boring NCAA Tournament.
On the bright side, if Jonny Flynn sticks to his word about coming back for his junior season, we'll be preseason top 5 if not better. If Harris and Devendorf stick around, we'll actually be over the 13 scholarship limit. Now, I know what you're thinking (Goodbye Sean Williams, FINALLY) but one of the freshman may just redshirt. I don't think Boeheim wants to redshirt Dashonte Riley just so he can have depth (and with Kristof leaving, they are losing size), so he may opt to redshirt that guy Southerland or even Sean Williams himself.
Or maybe Brandon Reese grows four inches and gains about 45 pounds of solid muscle and replaces Jonny Flynn as the starter. We'll assume Scoop transfers in this case. Chances of this happening: .00001%
Because anything's possible . . .yeah.
